Goal free

The inner edges of the posts must be 7.32m (8 yd) apart, and the lower edge of the crossbar must be 2.44m (8 ft) above the ground. Nets are usually placed behind the goal. Both the posts and the crossbar must  be equally wide, not to exceed 12cm (5 in). This is all that is to know to start building a new space built by a total re-configuration of those poor metal and plastic parts that will never be hit by an Italian football player’s shot.

Michele Marchetti
Michele Marchetti, born 1980, graduated in architecture from the University of Venice in 2008. Founder of Display a multimedia office based in Milan. For Display he signed the design of the Kaleidoscope installation to celebrate the end of the restorations of the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, in downtown Milano. Co-founder of Salottobuono, he has been partner in the firm from 2007 to 2013 which has been the editor of the section "Istruzioni per l'uso” in Abitare architecture magazine. Since 2008 he has been invited to participate in the Architecture Biennale of Venice; first in the section “L’Italia Cerca Casa – Housing Italy”, then in 2010 - realizing the design exhibition for the Italian Pavilion and in 2013 for the pavilion of Kingdom of Bahrain. While with Salottobuono he published “Manual of Decolonization” in 2010; a research study focusing on Palestinian territories. In 2012 he won the competition for the graphic identity of MACRO (Rome). Between 2011 and 2012, within Salottobuono, he was in charge of the creative direction of Domus magazine. He is currently a member of the editorial board of San Rocco Magazine, which he founded in 2010 and winner of the Fedrigoni award in 2015 and Icon Award in 2013. He has been a tutor at Isia, Urbino, University of Genova and at IUAV Industrial Design University, Treviso.
